A client experienced a fault on an 11kW Inovance Variable Frequency Drive, which was reported to have a power-related failure affecting its operation within the production line.

The unit was brought to our facility for detailed diagnostics and repair. Comprehensive cold testing and power testing were carried out, which revealed faults in some components. These components were identified as the root cause of the failure.

Our technical team proceeded with the replacement of the defective parts. Following reassembly, the drive was powered and subjected to load testing by connecting it to a suitable electric motor. The drive operated effectively under load conditions and met expected performance standards.

The project included:

• Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between phases and earth
• Careful tagging and disconnection of all power board connections
• Replacement of defective components with OEM -certified  spares
• Functional load testing with a suitable electric motor

The work was completed within schedule, and the drive was successfully restored to full operational condition and delivered to the customer.
