A brewing company in Nigeria  experienced a failure on a Siemens SIMATIC Human Machine Interface (HMI), which was reported not to power up when energized, affecting operator interaction with the control system.

The unit was brought to our workshop for detailed diagnosis and repair. Upon inspection, the compromised parts were discovered. Further assessment also revealed that the LCD display and touchscreen interface were physically damaged.

Our technical team carried out a comprehensive repair by replacing the defective components with OEM-certified parts. The HMI was then reassembled and tested to confirm full functionality and responsiveness in line with OEM standards.

The project included:

  • Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between positive and negative terminals
  • Detailed physical inspection of internal components and connections
  • Replacement of compromised components with  OEM -certified parts
  • Functional testing and validation of the HMI

The work was completed within schedule, and the HMI was successfully restored to optimal working condition, ensuring seamless operator control and monitoring.
