A plastics manufacturing company experienced a fault on a 5.5kW Yaskawa GA700 Variable Frequency Drive. The drive was brought in for technical assessment and corrective intervention.

Following a detailed diagnostic inspection, our engineers identified compromised components on the drive’s input section. The faulty components were replaced with a compatible unit, after which the drive was reassembled and subjected to functional testing to verify proper operation and performance in line with OEM standards.

The project included:

• Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between positive and negative terminals
• Physical inspection of internal components and cable connections
• Diagnosis of input section failure
• Replacement of faulty  components in the input section
• Functional testing and operational verification

The work was completed within one working day, successfully restoring the drive to operational condition and minimizing downtime for the client.
