A leading food processing company experienced a fault in a 37kW Siemens Micromaster 440 Variable Frequency Drive, which failed to power up during operation.

The drive was brought to our workshop for detailed diagnostics and corrective maintenance. Cold testing and power testing were carried out, and the investigation revealed the faulty components. Following the diagnosis,  replacement of the faulty components were sourced and installed.

After reassembly, the drive underwent operational testing with its output connected to a suitable electric motor to verify performance under load conditions. The drive operated normally and met expected OEM performance standards.

The project included:

• Cold diagnostic testing was performed to verify the electrical integrity of the drive
• Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between phases and earth
• Careful tagging and disconnection of all power board connections
• Replacement of defective components
• Functional load testing with a suitable electric motor

The work was completed within schedule, and the drive was successfully restored to full operational condition and delivered to the client.
