A power generation company operating in Douala, Cameroon, experienced a fault on a VACON Variable Frequency Drive, resulting in a power fault condition that affected the drive’s operation. Given the critical nature of the application, immediate troubleshooting and corrective action were required to restore equipment availability.

Following a detailed diagnostic assessment, Team Teknifix identified a defective driver board as the root cause of the fault. The failed component was preventing the drive from operating correctly and required replacement.

A replacement board was installed, after which the drive was inspected and tested to verify proper functionality. The intervention successfully restored the drive to operational condition and enabled the client to resume normal operations with minimal downtime.

The project included:

• Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between positive and negative terminals
• Physical inspection of internal components and electrical connections
• Fault diagnosis and identification of defective driver board
