A plastics manufacturing company encountered an operational failure on a Yaskawa Varispeed G7 Variable Frequency Drive. To prevent extended downtime, the drive was promptly brought to our workshop for comprehensive diagnosis and corrective maintenance.

Following a detailed inspection by Team Teknifix, the drive powered up but displayed a persistent VEF fault alarm, indicating a failure within the power section. Further diagnostics confirmed the defective components within the power section. and required replacement to restore normal operation.

A compatible replacement for the compromised components were installed, after which the drive was reassembled and subjected to functional testing to verify stable operation and compliance with OEM performance standards.

The project included:

• Continuity testing to ensure no short circuit between positive and negative terminals
• Comprehensive physical inspection of internal components and electrical connections
• Diagnosis of VEF fault and identification of defective  parts
• Replacement of faulty parts with OEM-certified spares
• Functional testing and operational verification of the drive

The work was completed within schedule, and the drive was successfully restored to full operational condition, enabling the client to resume production with minimal downtime.
